Our Route

Our planned route through southern Africa so far. We plan to start our adventure in Johannesburg, head off towards the coast and Cape Town, then up to Namibia, through Botswana, then northern South Africa and a trip to Kruger, into the south of Zimbabwe and across to Mozambique. From there we will come back to Malawi and chill out by the Lake, before heading into Tanzania and visiting the amazing Ngorongoro Crater and up to Kenya with Masai Mara. We’re planning then to come back down through Uganda and Rwanda and reenter Tanzania. On to Zambia and South Luangwa, into the north of Zimbabwe, back through Chobe in Botswana and finally returning to Johannesburg. No doubt the route will change along the way for various reasons, but this is the plan at the moment!

Here is our actual route. Whilst the route itself didn’t vary that much (except for going to Egypt rather than Uganda and Rwanda) the distances travelled each day did change.
